New Dentist We have now had Anthony Griffin as our new associate since the 5th October 2009. He has proven to be very well liked by our patients and his mild manners, empathy and clinical skills have been very appreciated by both patients and staff. Anthony graduated from Birmingham University in 1992 and has an interest in good quality general dentistry in a calm and professional environment. We would like to thank all patients who have expressed their appreciation for Anthony. It has certainly made him feel welcome and made his transition much easier.

Cross infection control

ln June 2009, the government has introduced new guidelines with regard to cross infection and sterilisation procedures and will soon require all dental practices to set up a dedicated sterilisation room in order to improve the hygiene standards primarily concerning the risk of spreading resistant bacteria and CJD. All practices will have to comply with the new regulations by 2011. We take the safety of our patients and staff extremely seriously and felt compelled to comply. We now have a dedicated sterilisation room and new easy to clean cabinetry and floor surfaces..

Ultimately, this is an investment in patient safety.
